Profile: Advanced Aromatics, L.P. is a producer of high purity naphthalene and derivatives. Our products include naphthalene, tetrahydronaphthalene, decahydronaphthalene, Advasol® 150, Advasol® 200H and AA204. We offer naphthalene in three grades such as 78°C, 79°C and 80°C. The low sulfur content of our naphthalene makes it suitable for any application, especially those involving catalysts that are sensitive to sulfur and other poisons. Tetrahydronaphthalene is available in 96%/99% purity, as a derivative of naphthalene. It is an excellent solvent and is also a valuable intermediate chemical for many diverse applications. It is created through the partial catalytic hydrogenation of naphthalene, which produces a completely hydrogenated ring and leaves the other ring unchanged. It is used as a solvent for oils, waxes, greases, naphthalene, metallic soaps, rubber, plastics, PVC, coumarone resins, ketone-formaldehyde resins, and tung oil. Advasol® 150 is an excellent solvent for cleaning industrial compressors and for oil field chemicals. This workhorse is the preferred wash oil for compressors because of its superior performance in the field. Advasol 200H and Advasol 140H are used in agricultural chemicals, industrial degreasers, oil field chemicals, paints and coatings.
